Erotic love story, which also describes the crisis of a middle aged man, who analyses his life and marriage and thinks over his accomplishments. A medical doctor (who has retired and taken over his wife’s vineyard) disappears for three days and the family thinks he has been kidnapped.  He is together with the young Tamatea. He found her injured in a car accident, and he lives three days with her, feeds her and takes care of her. Afterwards the family thinks he has become mad, because the police told them that this woman was found dead the last day that he claimed he was with her, and accordning to the police she had been dead two days already. It is a mysterious and thought provoking book, which also could have made a great movie. The reader does not understand if this is fantasy or real. Was he actually gone or was he just sitting thinking in his chair? At the end of the story you think: He never met Tamatea. Or did he?

The plane was diving during the fight, and was 2/10 of a second from crashing, thirty meters above the ground, before the assailant was stopped. Miraculously all of them survived thanks to an heroic act. The news went all over the world, this happened in September 2004, four years after 9/11! Later four of those on board, including the two pilots, received gold and silver medals from the Carnegie Hero Fund.
